An interesting graphic I came across on google from flavorwire.com. Wasn't any article or sources to go with it but I think it rings pretty true. The mainstream jumps on trends early and beats them to death, then they become popular again. Plaid shirts were popular in the early 90's with the grunge scene, and recently made a comeback. It happens all the time; there are very few original ideas in fashion.
just like they say "history repeats itself" so does fashion...its interesting because when i shop with my mom she always says "oh my gosh i wore that in highschool" and i always say ill never wear that and i always actually end up wearing it haha
