After hearing the out rage over hockey player Raffi Torres' Halloween costume, i couldn't help, but think to the laughter that Dwayne Wade was met with a few years ago. It's two athletes who wanted to show tribute to an artist who they admire, but received anything but equal responses. The responses that Torres drew for his costume reassured that blackface will always be a sore subject for how it was used in the early years of movie making. Although I am going to say that if these two were competing in a costume contest, I think I'm going to have to go with Torres as the winner. Great execution of a costume that was in bad taste for many.
