The new class system?

So I was thinking about the "classes" in our society and it got me thinking. The wealthy pay less taxes, and so are getting richer. The extremely poor have programs set to help them out, which usually don't give as much help as needed but they are available. And then there's everyone in between, who isn't wealthy enough to really stay ahead but isn't poor enough to benefit from any of those "helpful" programs. Which causes them to become poorer too. So the poor stay poor, the middle class gets poorer, and the filthy rich get richer. Anyone else see a problem here???
